Adams has said in the past that he doesn’t want family coaching hires and it looks like he stuck by his word.

It was assumed that Fisher was coming back once the team decided that Vince Young would be traded or released.

This now reopens the possibility that the Titans might wait and see what their next head coach thinks of Young before trading or releasing him.

Running back Chris Johnson finished with just seven carries for five yards and didn’t touch the ball in the second quarter.

It was a bizarre offensive philosophy from the Titans, especially considering Rusty Smith was their starting quarterback.

Instead of trying to run the clock, condense the game and grind out yards on the ground, the Titans went to the air.

The highlight of the game was the nasty fight that took place between Cortland Finnegan and Andre Johnson, who ripped each other’s helmets off and took some swings.

Moss said that he has nothing bad to say about the Viking and is done talking about his former team.

He said he is now happy to be with the Titans and is focusing on working hard to help out the team.

It will be interesting to hear what Moss has to say about the situation if he ever opens up about it down the road.

Johnson has made it clear he wants a long-term deal but said he would settle for a short-term fix to get him into training camp.

He reinterated that he has no plans to show up to training camp unless the team takes care of his situation.

Johnson would like a new deal that would compensate him for his performance and give him at least $30 million guaranteed.

The Titans know how important it is to have Johnson on the field considering the entire offense revolves around him.

Young was caught on surveillance video striking a Club Onyx employee who had flashed an upside-down Hook ‘Em Horns” sign. Young starred at University of Texas, leading his team to a national championship. The maximum punishment for the misdemeanor is a $500 fine.Young’s teammates have maintained their support for him, and Tennessee head coach Jeff Fischer has said that he “would like to think he has learned a lesson.”

Young was set to take sole possession of the starting job this season, after backing up veteran Kerry Collins for much of last year. This is seen by many as a make-or-break season for Young so he can ill-afford a suspension.

Tennessee Titans’ top draft pick Derrick Morgan was in a hurry to get to the team’s minicamp.

Too much of a hurry for one law enforcement agency.

The No. 16 selection in April’s NFL Draft, Morgan was arrested Wednesday night after being clocked driving 91 mph in a 70 mph zone on Interstate 75 in Gordon County, Ga.

Morgan, who played at Georgia Tech, was traveling from Atlanta to Nashville for the Titans’ minicamp. He was released on a $2,108 bond, according to published reports, and has a July 26 court date.

Morgan was regarded as one of the best defensive ends in the nation last season, helping lead Georgia Tech to the ACC championship and a berth in the Orange Bowl.

Gordon County is located between Atlanta and Chattanoonga, about three hours southeast of Nashville.
